WebCE Becomes First Insurance CE Provider to Offer Real-Time Credit Reporting Through NAIC’s State Based Systems

Industry-first integration now gives producers in 28 states and territories instant reporting of completed CE credits on their SBS transcripts within minutes, not days

DALLAS, TX, April 01, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — WebCE, the nation’s leading provider of continuing education for insurance and financial planning professionals, today announced it has become the first insurance CE provider in the country to offer real-time reporting of completed credit hours through the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (NAIC) State Based Systems (SBS) platform. Completed credits now appear on a producer’s official SBS transcript within minutes of course completion.

“Insurance professionals shouldn’t have to wonder whether their credits have been reported or plan their continuing education around reporting delays,” said Tabitha Richardson, WebCE’s Director of Product and Market Development for Financial Services. “Real-time reporting with SBS closes the gap between completing a course and being renewal-ready. Every producer deserves that certainty, and we’re proud to be the first to deliver.”

WebCE’s real-time reporting is currently live in 28 states and territories, with additional states including Arkansas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Vermont coming soon.

The announcement addresses a long-standing friction point in the license renewal process. CE providers have historically taken anywhere from one to thirty days to report earned credit hours to state regulators, with most reporting within three to four business days. Even after submission, backend systems could take additional time to sync before a producer’s transcript reflected their completed coursework.

In most states, a producer’s renewal application is only available once their transcript shows full compliance. Producers who had finished all required coursework could still find themselves unable to renew, resulting in unintended license lapses, lost selling time, and potential compliance risk. State regulators have long advised producers to complete CE well in advance of deadlines specifically to account for these delays.

The same lag affected agencies, carriers, and MGAs, whose teams had no way to verify in real-time whether their producers had met CE requirements. Compliance teams now gain immediate visibility into which producers have met their CE requirements, enabling faster onboarding decisions, more accurate appointment management, and reduced risk of fielding producers whose credentials are not yet verifiable.

The integration with SBS marks a significant milestone in WebCE’s ongoing commitment to modernizing the compliance experience. As more states transition to real-time reporting, WebCE remains dedicated to removing administrative hurdles and providing the fastest, most reliable path to license renewal for professionals nationwide.

Real-time reporting is now automatically active for all eligible courses in participating SBS states. To learn more about this streamlined process or to view the full list of supported states, visit www.WebCE.com.
